What are the prerequisites for taking voice lessons with Miss Kim?

• Students must be 12 years or older.

• Students must have taken piano lessons (with Miss Kim or another teacher) for at least 1 year before commencing voice lessons.

Can 2 students share a lesson spot?

Yes, 2 students can share one lesson slot. This means one student comes the first week, the other student comes the next week and they share the cost of lessons.

There is also the option for 2 students (siblings or close friends) to come together for a lesson. This works well for two students of similar ability levels. Tuition will be discounted for both students. Contact me to discuss this option further.

What style of singing will be taught?

Most of my experience is classical. I can teach the basics of healthy singing in any style, and will draw on classical and modern works for practice/performance material. Curriculum decisions will be made after conferencing with each student. I anticipate the curriculum for each student being different.

The standard lesson is 30 minutes, once per week. Students age 12-15 are typically comfortable with 30 minute lessons. Students 16 and older who are more serious in their study may want to consider 45 or 60 minute lessons. 

What is the cost?

The cost for 30 minute lessons once per week is $120/month.
